ID Verification solutions to help reduce the ecological footprint.

The Entel Marathon of Santiago has been transformed into an annual sports festival that has motivated more Chileans to run through the streets and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

However, it is not the only contribution that the event has made. According to figures from the organisers, the use of biometric technology to verify the identity of runners has had a highly positive impact on their ecological footprint by making savings in paper, plastic, storage and water.

Thanks to its alliance with TOC Biometrics, the organisers of the event digitised the ID Verification system, the delivery of contracts and the Runner's Manual with information on the competition. With this, Entel Maratón de Santiago stopped printing almost 1.5 million sheets – equivalent to 13.65 tons of pulp.
